ICELANDIC RIVER AND WASHOW BAY CREEK
INTEGRATED WATERSHED MANAGEMENT PLAN

The Icelandic River and Washow Bay Creek (05SC) IWMP was initiated in March of 2006 and a final version of the plan is available HERE. The process included the following steps:
- Compile available scientific data for the watershed (May 2006 – Feb 2007)
- Host community meetings to receive public input on issues of concern (April 18, 2007)

Establish watershed a list of action items as well as resource goals and objectives based on community issues. (May 2007- March 2009)

Host second public meeting to review a draft version of the plan

Revise and submit plan to Manitoba Water Stewardship for approval by Minister Melnick

Conduct programming that meets watershed needs and community issues (May 2009 – May 2017)
- Monitor success based on goals and objects (May 2009 – May 2017)

Revise plan in 8 years (May 2017)
In May of 2006 the technical watershed planning advisory team (WPAT) met to discuss the watershed planning process and available information for the 05SC watershed.
